water cycle
"The Water Cycle is like the engine of the earth, taking the power of the sun to give the earth life and making the whole thing work. "
"The water cycle is like the earth's plumbing system. When the Almighty God sends down rain, water is fed into the surface water system "
"Water cycle is like a simple distillation process. In laboratory, the heat source heats the water in a glass vessel. Water evaporates and travel through a cooled condenser tube. Cold passage turns the vapor to water droplets falling down to collection jar. The end is a cleaner water. Far cleaner than it was before. "
This will make sense to people who have worn glasses in the shower or in a steamy bathroom. If you run a shower with hot water(evaporate) steam is produced, especially if the bathroom is small and the door is closed. If it's cold and your glasses are on, the steam will condense on your glasses(rain). Try it sometime. This process illustrates two main aspect of the water cycle, evaporation and condensation.

METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
