Business Statistic As Pablum
a: Statistics ~
b: pablum
What: " Larry, Patrick Pichette, Nikesh Arora and Susan know that statistics are like pablum for business media and Wall Street analysts. They eat it up and then they regurgitate it like a 12 month old child. They don't question it - because they haven't developed their vocabulary skills yet." The Best comment ever. The biggest abusers of statistics are journalist. Typically, journalist write very well. But their basic math skills are much to be desired.

METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
