a: Parents ~
b: dry well

What:

"Your parents are like a dry well. It doesn't matter how often you go to draw love, there isn't enough there to bring up the buckets you need. To keep going to that dry well will only make you sadder and madder. Better to find a new source."

a: My Parents ~
b: Characters From a David Lynch Movie

What:

Pick your movie, one of the darker films, and there they are; Vicious, seething, hateful monsters, that seem to be living a normal life. Freaky and weird and demanding they were. But what have they offered over the years? Occasional bouts of sanity came along every now and then, and these episodes made me wonder, if there was anything worthwhile here. In the end, as they lay dying, unfortunately, not much.

a: My Parents ~
b: a huge shadow

What:

"At home, At home, my parents are like a huge shadow always looking for me to trip up and they constantly limit me. They have said that when I grow up, I would do nothing, a waste of space, and I have no talents. They always force me to do things as a means of impressing colleges and when I don't do well in their expecations I get yelled at. They make everything I do horrible because they always want to sculpt me like they want me to be.are like a huge shadow always looking for me to trip up and they constantly limit me. METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
