metal in the microwave

Bouncy Wave Energy
a: Metal in the microwave ~
b: breakwater to ocean waves
What: If you put metal in the microwave, many sparks and arcs are created. It can be dangerous if you let the oven run for too long. Why is this? Microwave radiation and metal, steel, don't mixing very well. At this frequency of electromagnetic radiation hits the metal atoms they do not absorb this energy, but deflect it. This is what happens when ocean waves hit a break water; the energy in the ocean waves can be violently deflected.

# 3675 Critique Analogy

METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
