isotope
A video that associates isotopes with cars with different models is linked. The car association is good, but has a flaw. It would be better to explain an isotope as the same model of car with the same color and external style but with different size engines or some other internal feature that doesn't affect the exterior of the car. Isotopes of a given element have similar chemistry to the base version, just as a there can be versions of cars with the same paint but with different engines.
Imagine 3 red apples. They all look and taste the same and are the same size. But they may not be the same in the inside. If you cut open an apple you will see the seeds at the core. Isotopes are something like those 3 red apples. One has 6 seeds, the other has 7 seeds and the other has 8 seeds.
METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
