a: Integrity ~
b: trust

What:

"Integrity is like trust; it can be lost in a wink of an eye. Just ask the last politician caught in a scandal. A good analogy of how hard it is to build integrity and how easy it is to lose it is the blowing up of a hot water bottle. You may have seen muscle men traveling around the country performing incredible acts of strength. One of them is blowing air into a hot water bottle, with the goal of blowing so much air in that it pops like a balloon. However, with just one slip and that bottle moves from the person's mouth, air will come rushing out. This is just how fast integrity can be lost."

METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
