A Comment On Smog In Boise
a: Boise ~
b: driving through LA in the 70s
What: "Sometimes driving through Boise is like driving through the Los Angeles basin in the late 1970s. I'm guessing in California this would be an "orange" air alert. Here it's yellow, and there's only a "voluntary burn ban." Ick, ick, ick."

Boise As Denver
a: Boise ~
b: a mini Denver
What: "I'm an Idaho girl born and raised- but I didn't grow up in potato growing Idaho. In fact, I don't think I really saw a potato field until I was a teenager. I grew up in Boise, which is about as citified as Idaho can get. (And really one of the coolest cities there is, in my humble opinion. The Denver area, where we live now, is pretty cool, but way too big for me. Boise is like a mini Denver.)"

METAMIA is a free database of analogy and metaphor. Anyone can contribute or search. The subject matter can be anything. Science is popular, but poetry is encouraged. The goal is to integrate our fluid muses with the stark literalism of a relational database. Metamia is like a girdle for your muses, a cognitive girdle.
