a: Rosemary's Baby ~
b: anti-Roman Holiday

What:

"Great film. I have a crazy theory that Rosemary's Baby was made to be the anti-Roman Holiday: Mia Farrow's character is obviously built after Audrey Hepburn, she undergoes the exact opposite experience as the Princess (from freedom to slavery,) Cassavetes sounds and acts like Gregory Peck, the word "Roman" appears constantly, the film almost entirely revolves around her being given things by strangers (that hurt her,) and there's even a haircut scene (that has the exact opposite effect, causing her to be self-conscious instead of free.)"
