In Still Water

a: Simple diffusion ~
b: food color in water

What: Simple diffusion is like food color in water. This assumes that the water is still and not being stirred. If you have a tube of still water and drop some red food dye in the middle, the color will expand out from the center. As the color expands the concentration off the dye drops and the color become faint. The intensity of color drops geometrically because there is a fixed mass of dye moving, to a point, an infinite amount of water.
