What: This is a common association for electricity. Electricity moving through a circuit is like water moving through pipe. The narrower the pipe the faster the water can move. So here is another electrical type concept, the proton motive force. It's the difference in H+ across a membrane. The difference forms an electrical potential that a cell can use to create high energy ATP.
