"I understand the reasoning for matrix management, and under ideal circumstances it might work. However, circumstances are rarely ideal, which would draw the average reader to the same conclusion. Matrix management is like socialisim, it simply doesn't work most of the time, and the proof is in the results. For my part, I have moved on from that environment, and will never work for another organization that supports matrix management."
