What:

This is a landscape caused by the dissolution of Calcium Carbonate. The Calcium Carbonate is dissolved by slightly acidic water seeping into the ground over a long period of time. This process can be mimicked by creating a block of sugar cubes. Use an eyedropper to slowly drop water onto the cubes. Sugar is very soluble and the cubes will disappear into solution very quickly.
