a: Interleukin ~
b: message from the Department of Defense

What:

"The helper T-cell binds to the B cell, which is "presenting" the chopped up piece of invader (the foreign fragment in the MHC protein) for the T cell's consideration. If the fit is just right, it causes the helper T cell to secrete a substance called interleukin. Interleukin is like a message from the Department of Defense to the munitions factory."
