H.r. Giger's Alien Monster

a: H.r. giger alien monster ~
b: The German Anima

What: The Alien creature is based on paintings of Swiss artist H.R. Giger. Anyone who has seen any of the Alien movies knows this creature as a viscous insect like space-monster with green corrosive acid pulsing through its veins. The Swiss artist H.R. Giger has a whole series of pictures of these creatures as well as an organ-like tubular backdrop. In one of the Alien movies, the creature is insulted as "a bitch". The anima is the inner female part of the male personality. I've seen it defined as the female spirit. The surmise is that this monster is inspired to some degree by Germanic culture, maybe even Germanic women. If you look at the events of the past century, it begins to make sense; imagine about 80 million Alien monsters running around continental Europe.
