a: diaphram ~
b: a trampoline

What:

"Imagine if you took a marble and swallowed it and it went all the way down to the diaphragm (which is not how our anatomy is set up), well, the diaphragm is like a trampoline and the marble would bounce back up. I'm giving you this terrible imagery to let you know it's like flap going right through us from front to back. This is a terrible analogy also because when our diaphragm expands, it expands downward, so really that marble might not bounce back up, but it may just sink downward and stay in the diaphragm."
