Energy Conversion

a: Chloroplasts ~
b: solar panels

What:

What are there similar points? They both are entities that convert energy from one form into another. The object is to do useful work with the energy that is being produced. A solar cell converts the sun's electromagnetic energy into electricity. The electricity can be used to run all the various machine found in a typical house. These might include the TV, the oven, lights and many other things.

Likewise, a chloroplast converts the sun's electromagnetic energy into sugars within some bacteria and most plants. The sugars produced are can be used to grow the plant or can be converted into starch for use later.
